About Seattle 47.6° North

Stories of the city, nature, and the people who call this place home.

Seattle 47.6° North is an independent bilingual newsletter sharing stories from Seattle and the Pacific Northwest in English and Japanese.

From little shops discovered while exploring the city to landscapes that change with the seasons, and from local artists and photographers to people pursuing the work and passions they love, there is always something new to discover.

Even in the most ordinary moments, there are places worth exploring and stories worth sharing.

Through this newsletter, I hope to celebrate those everyday discoveries while looking beyond the places themselves to the people who live here, their experiences, and the journeys that have shaped them.

Maybe it’s a new place to explore, a story that stays with you, or a perspective you hadn’t considered before.

Thank you for finding your way to Seattle 47.6° North. I’m glad you’re here.
